Working Principle :

SCRUDRAIN thickeners manufactured by TEKNOFANGHI® are the modern and economical solution to sludge thickening.

The principle and clear advantage of the SCRUDRAIN thickeners is the use of an Archimedean screw instead of only the conventional drum filter. The filter cloth made of polyester is fixed to the Archimedean screw, making a drum with a screw inside. An adjustable screw gear motor rotates the drum filter. This design enables an easy and simple control of the thickening process by adjusting the rotating speed to achieve the optimal thickening. The filter cloth is kept clean by making use of back washing water at high pressure from integrated backwashing pump. Filtrate could also be used for backwashing. SCRUDRAIN thickeners are provided with control panel and back wash pump.
As general guide, In SCRUDRAIN sludge from 0.5 – 3% can be thickened to 5 – 15% DS.  On keeping of the usual Teknofanghi’s high standard, the equipment is made with non-corrodible materials, and all the metallic parts in AISI 304 stainless steel.
